New Volunteering Opportunity!

Hey NHS Members!

Austin Parkway Elementary is looking for student volunteers for their Walkathon. Students are needed to assist with food sales, games and tickets. The event is on Oct 23 from 4pm to 8pm. At least 20 volunteers are needed. Student Volunteers need to arrive by 3:30 and will receive a free meal ticket. Please contact the following individual for more information:

Practice PSAT Fundraiser

Hey NHS Members,

We  just wanted to let you know that there is a practice PSAT this weekend (10/10) for freshman, sophomores, and juniors. If you know anybody who is interested in taking a practice PSAT, please tell them that the cost is $10 and that they can sign up throughout this week on stage at lunch.

See you Tuesday the 6th for our meeting in the auditorium!

NEW VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY!

HEY NHS MEMBERS!

The First United Methodist Church of Missouri City will be hosting its 15th annual Fall Festival on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at its 3900 Lexington Blvd. location at the corner of Lexington and Murphy Road. You can volunteer on Friday night from 6-9 PM or on Saturday from 8 AM until 6 PM. Duties would involve helping to set-up the midway and food court sections of the festival on Friday night and Saturday morning. During the festival hours of 10 AM until 4 PM, you could help assist with the various carnival games, monitor the blow-up amusements or help in the Food Cafe’ by serving canned drinks, food, etc. Take down of the various festival areas occurs from 4-6 PM. Many youth from the church as well as others from nearby high schools volunteer their time at the festival to earn service hours. Please see an NHS sponsor for sign up info.

Another Volunteering Opportunity!

Volunteers are needed on the following dates: 9/19, 9/26 and 10/17.

You would be helping the First Colony Patriots at CHS.

Please come any time between 6:30 AM and 4 PM.

FSMS Volunteer Opportunity

NHS Members -

24 volunteers are needed to help with a Fort Settlement MS dance on Friday, October 23.  12 volunteers are needed for the 4-7 PM shift and 12 volunteers are needed from 7-10 PM.  It is actually two dances: the 6th graders are from 4-6 and the 7th & 8th graders are from 7-9.  FSMS needs help setting up, manning booths during the dances, and cleaning up after each dance.  You can sign up for either one shift or both.  There will be a sign up sheet outside Ms. Stone’s room – first come, first serve.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY THIS FRIDAY 8/21
